Social Responsibility

Thinking beyond today

As a company headquartered in Cologne, every day we see what people can achieve when they think beyond the present – just by gazing up at the imposing Cologne Cathedral. Real estate has an impact on how we live and it also affects the way we coexist as a society. OMEGA Immobilien takes this philosophy to heart and strives to think beyond the boundaries of business.

We sincerely hope that our commitment to society may make a positive contribution towards improving the quality of life – for all members of society.

My Life Films Deutschland

My Life Films Deutschland is a non-profit organization that was founded in Cologne in June 2015 and is committed to helping people with dementia remember their lives and maintain their identities through active insights into the past. In collaboration with friends and relatives My Life Films produces – free of charge and financed solely through donations – a personalized film biography of the person suffering from dementia. The film creates a unique account of the life of the star of the film over generations and also provides an aid for carers to get to know and better understand the person they are assisting.

In Germany there are currently around 1.5 million people living with dementia and every year some 300,000 new cases are diagnosed. For this reason, OMEGA Immobilien made the decision to financially support the founders of My Life Films Deutschland gGmbH and also promote the initiative beyond the venture capital funding.

Kölnischer Kunstverein

The Kölnischer Kunstverein (Art Association of Cologne), founded in 1839 by citizens for citizens, pursues the goal of promoting contemporary artists and giving them the opportunity to present and find buyers for their works.

OMEGA Immobilien supports these objectives with the conviction that art can enrich our social interaction in a variety of ways.

Freunde des Historischen Archivs
der Stadt Cologne e.V.

The Cologne City Archive is one of the largest in Germany, housing a collection of records and documents from over 1000 years of Rhineland history. Taking care of these archive materials is a task with which we will be measured by future generations. And just how important it is to protect this cultural heritage was made even clearer by the tragic collapse of its building on March 3, 2009.

As supporters of this organization, OMEGA Immobilien wants to fulfil the social obligation of protecting our cultural heritage.
